Apprentice Carpenter/Joiner

Work Involved:
You will be an apprentice carpenter/joiner and as such will assist and learn from a qualified tradesman. This will mean being involved in everything from setting out of projects through to their completion
Skills and Specific Qualifications Required:
You will need to have/be-
• Trustworthy
• Good communication skills
• The ability to concentrate and assimilate what you are being taught by a tradesman
• A reasonable level numeracy and literacy skills
• Punctual, reliable and have the ability to work as part of a team
Pay Range: (This is particularly helpful for education leavers looking for their first full time role)
The pay range will be based on the Guernsey Building Trades Association Pay Scales for Apprentices
Training Available:
As well as on site training with a qualified tradesman you will be expect to undertake the City and Guilds Carpentry/Joinery course at the Guernsey Institute
Working Hours and Pattern:
40 hours per week Monday to Friday 8am - 16.30pm
