BBC Kick Off Sports Reporter scheme

The BBC are hosting placements at a number of their BBC local radio sport teams for people new to broadcasting who are looking to build their skills as a sports reporter.

The project is aimed at giving people from a diverse range of backgrounds and varying knowledge  an experience of the BBC, and an opportunity to develop reporting skills within the organisation.

This is an exciting year to take part in the scheme because it will run during the Olympics and Paralympic Games.

They are keen for people to know that the BBC's doors are wide open for their applications and ensure that as many people as possible have access to this information.

The BBC Kick Off Sports Reporter scheme is accepting applications for 2012.

The Closing date for applications is 23:59 on Wednesday 6th June.
