How to use Wexbox:
- If you know which company you would like select by 'organisation'
- If you know which area of work experience you would like select by 'classification' For example, if you know you would like work experience with Computers and IT select by 'classification' and choose 'D - Computers and IT'
- If you know which parish you would like your work experience to be in select by 'location' Please note this type of search could limit your opportunities.
- Finally, you can select by 'Job Title' and for this I would suggest you put in a minimum information e.g. if you put in 'children' Wexbox will return no results. However if you type in 'child' you will have more results.
Please note that you can only search using one of the the four groups.
If you want to change your selections to another group make sure that no preference is showing in the boxes.
If you are unsure where your strengths lie or do not have a clue what you would like to do then go to the CLIPS menu on the left and try their quiz. Alternatively go to the classification area and select an area of interest.
Every year over 800 local students are given the opportunity to experience the world of work. The majority of these students will be entitled to at least one week of work experience before they leave school. If you are one of these students, work experience can give you the opportunity to either try out an area of work that interests you as a career after you leave school or perhaps one that you are unsure about and need help to make up your mind.
