Staying on in full time education
Alderney students can choose to study their post-16 education in Guernsey. Some students choose to study in the UK as their families moved over to Alderney from the UK originally. Alderney students studying in Guernsey are supported by the Health & Social Services Department in terms of accommodation and living arrangements. Apprenticeship in Alderney  Find out more about the employers in Alderney by clicking here.
The Apprenticeship Scheme will support the employer and apprentice with funding to allow day release attendance at the College of FE in Guernsey. Contact Alma Harradine, Apprenticeship Manager Tel: 737501 or Sarah, Careers Adviser for St. Anne’s at the Careers Service.

Students and parents need to be aware of the Housing and Right to Work regulations for Alderney residents wanting to live and work in Guernsey. It is possible to work as an apprentice in Guernsey as some St Anne’s students in the past have found apprenticeships in Catering, Building Trades and Engineering.
